ca to london is a long way. they may not let you take him. you can search on expedia.com for the best airline carrier. it will most likely be British Airways

British Airways ia great airline if you aren't strapped for cash because they are a very expensive airline. United Airlines hasn't failed me yet in all of my travels within and out of the USA. United Airlines has one stop service to London's Heathrow International airport. They depart Sacramento but all stop in LAX on the way there and on the way back but that is the best you will find.

I don't think any airline from Sacramento goes to London direct. So you will need to go LAX. However, you should contact the airline regarding taking your pet for a long travel.

I recently flew to Heathrow, non stop, but I flew out of LAX. I travelled with Virgin Atlantic and it was a great airline. It's alot of travel though! For international flights you need to be at the airport 3 hours ahead of time, then the flight itself, assuming it is non-stop, is approx 11 hours. Next is immigration, expect that to take about an hour!...lol....so that's 15 hours, not including the leg from Sacramento to whichever international airport you fly through. actually - best bet is to go to lax instead... virgin atlantic has a direct flight from lax lhr -- if you have enough money for first class 'your seat is a suite' sweet!!
