Anybody travelled to Hawaii from Sacramento early Sunday morning lately

Anybody travelled to Hawaii from Sacramento early Sunday morning lately?

They said I need to arrive, not just the 2 hours before the flight, but 3 hours before the flight. That seems a bit extreme - any advice from someone who knows? Thanks!

Ya, i live in sacramento and we take lots of flights, i have been to hawaii twice from the sac airport and i would say 2 hours becuase it is not international and plus sac is nver crowded, but i would say 2 1/2 hours is safe for sure

I haven't. But because of that London bomb scare, I would say 2 hours is sufficient if you are going early early, like 6AM. As you get further into the morning you might consider getting towards 2.5 hours. If you get to 9AM or 10AM, it might be 3 hours because of more people leaving and arriving.
