They don't generally weight carry-ons domestically. There is a surcharge on overweight checked baggage, I think if it is over 70 pounds (not sure about that). On puddle jumper domestic flights, they do sometimes rebalance the passenger load so that the plane is not nose heavy, but I have never seen them restrict a carry on bag EXCEPT if it was too large to fit on the plane.

I just flew Chicago to Ft Lauderdale and the limit was 50 pounds per bag and three checked bags. It depends on your airline. Go to the website of your airline. The people we met from England said that they were more limited in the number of bags they could bring.
