What's your best tip for the best last minute flight prices

What's your best tip for the best last minute flight prices?
I'm looking to fly out of Sacramento into Las Vegas tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday for one day/night. I just started to look and haven't been able to find anything for less then $300. Any good tips to get last minute flight deals? Thanks.

Hate to break it to you, but $300 for a next-day, round-trip ticket is a pretty good deal. If you'll need a hotel room, too, I suggest using a site like Travelocity or Orbitz; they'll be able to get you a deal on your round-trip ticket and hotel room. http://travel.travelocity.com/trips/SSFlightsCrossSell.do?flightPath=TFSS&Service=TRAVELOCITY&ckbpass_ind=PKG_SNAPPYROW

$300 sounds reasonable for one day advanced purchase. It is what you would probably pay with a 2 week advance purchase. One thing you can try is priceline and hotwire. One thing to do is check hotwire, bid 60% of that price on priceline. If that is rejected, try 70%. You will probably get one on US Airways.
