Can the security scanners in airports damage the computer in a gaming console?

My PS3 was checked through the x-ray machine on a flight from Vegas to Sacramento, now the video won't work only the sound on my gaming console.

Blame it on rough handling. An x-ray machine works either by firing a beam of intense photons and see which get through to the photon particle detector ont he top of the machine, or by emitting a soundwave at a very high frequency and seeing which parts of the wave gets to the sound detector on the roof. A photon is smaller than an atom. It is what makes up atoms, so I don't think that they would dameage you PS3. In fact, it is believed that it was particles that started the universe. Sound is also not going to damage it, and you must also remember that US Govt checks these machines to see that they don't inflict harm on goods.
