How much are airline tickets for 1 elder woman and one (dachshund) dog?

I just want to know what are the cheapest flights to go from sacramento, ca to new canaan, connecticut? My grandmother wants to move to Connecticut and she wants to fly? Could someone tell me how much a ticket costs, and what airline takes dogs? Thanks

If the dog is small enough for an under the seat soft carrier, then she should have the dog ride with her on the plane - not in cargo. I would check online with Orbitz.com, CheapTickets.com and other comparison airline tickets. BTW most airlines now charge about $200-250 for the pet to ride - they really jumped up their prices in the past few years!.

You will need to contact the different airlines & find out from them. Anything else would be here say. I don't fly so I have no idea but the airlines will be able to help you. Get the word right from the horses mouth. I wouldn't even know what airlines are out there or where they fly to or what their pet restrictions are.

look up flights online and it may tell you how much to take a dog or you might have to phone.. it was about $100 to take my cat..
