How can I help my boyfriend find the cheapest flight to Ohio for his younger sister's graduation???

We live in Davis so he wants to leave from Sacramento (not worth the gas and time to drive to SF) and needs to fly into Cleavland or Akron Ohio but all the flights I have found total over $400. We are really short on money and he just can't justify the $400 - $450 when he needs it to pay off medical bills and rent. Does anyone have ANY ideas on how to get cheaper tickets? I have checked multiple dates, checked expedia, priceline, orbitz, kayak, travelocity, and a couple others I can't remember. Any ideas anyone? Please help it would mean a lot!

One word..... Southwest.... now its not the 75 - 150 you are looking for but it's the cheapest you are going to get. Sorry
