It may or may not be the best, but southwest.com has service to Sacramento, and they don't participate in other major sites such as Expedia, Orbitz, or Travelocity. You should of course check those sites, too.

You should check out Kayak, they are probably your best option when flying inside the US, as they search with all the big sites, and airlines. I work for another company similiar to Kayak, Dohop.com, you can also try us if you'd like, but generally we are only able to beat Kayak on international flights.

Depending where on the east coast you live, JetBlue flies to Sacramento.

JetBlue Airways,Southwest Airlines,Frontier Airlines,Horizon Air are the cheaper ones. From where exactly?
